Bruce H. Russell, II
Mr. Russell is the firm's founder and managing attorney. A graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond, Bruce H. Russell, II began practicing law in Charlottesville, VA, with the law firm of Thompson & Hagy, P.C., a boutique firm focused on representing small high-tech companies.
Following his work with that firm's litigation and business practice, Mr. Russell returned to his native Southwest Virginia to become Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Buchanan County, where he prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanor traffic offenses to serious felony drug charges. He also taught trial advocacy and legal writing at the Appalachian School of Law.
Bruce returned to the private sector in 2002, joining the law firm that would become know as Bolling Hearl Russell & Ratliff. There, his practice focused on such areas as criminal law, domestic relations, collections, and general litigation.
As the senior attorney with Bruce H. Russell, II, P.C., Mr. Russell continues to serve a diverse group of clients in a wide range of cases throughout Southwest Virginia.
Chase D. Collins
A native of Tazewell, Virginia, Chase was salutatorian at Graham High School, graduated With Honors from the University of Virginia, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Pennsylvania State University School of Law. As a law student, Chase honed his skills in the Children's Advocacy Clinic. He is a member of both the Virginia State Bar and the Pennsylvania State Bar.
Chase cut his teeth as a solo practitioner in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, focusing on Juvenile Dependency and Family Law. Returning to his native Virginia, Chase worked in the Office of the Tazewell County Attorney before reentering private practice.
He represents a broad spectrum of clients in his general litigation practice, and serves as counsel for governmental agencies. In his spare time, he is active in his church, spends as much time as possible with his wife Nicole and young son Landon, and polishes his bowling game as often as he can. He is based in the Tazewell office.
Abingdon native Michael Worrell is a graduate of Abingdon High School, Emory & Henry College, and the University of Richmond's T.C. Williams School of Law. After beginning his career as a local government attorney, Michael moved on to the life of a bankruptcy practitioner, before settling into his current general litigation practice. He is based in the Abingdon office.
Robert L. Adair
Holding degrees from the University of South Carolina, Florida State University, and Northern Kentucky University, Richlands native Robert Adair works primarily with the firm's traffic defense practice.
