A graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond, Bruce H. Russell, II began practicing law in Charlottesville, VA, with the law firm of Thompson & Hagy, P.C., a "boutique" firm focusing on representing small "high-tech" companies.
Following his work with that firm's litigation and business practice, Mr. Russell returned to his native Southwest Virginia to become Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Buchanan County, where he prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanor traffic offenses to serious felony drug charges. Also during that time, he taught trial advocacy and legal writing at the Appalachian School of Law.
Bruce returned to the private sector in 2002, joining the law firm that would become know as Bolling Hearl Russell & Ratliff. There, his practice focused on such areas as criminal law, domestic relations, collections, and general litigation.
Currently a solo practicioner based in Lebanon, Virginia, he continues to represent a diverse group of clients in a wide range of cases throught Southwest Virginia.
